Huntingdon: a dog of a share
Sarah Ryle reports on the decline of shares in Cambridge-based research company Huntingdon Life Sciences which closed last week at 17.5p after hitting 15p, its lowest level since December 1994. The Stock Market confirmed on Wednesday that Robert Fleming had sold its 15% stake, thought to represent about £3m, at a price which has not been disclosed. Huntingdon has been the target of a campaign by anti-vivisectionists after a TV documentary which exposed maltreatment of dogs.
